Congressman Danny Davis Endorses Dorothy Brown for Cook County Board President

U.S. Rep. Danny Davis and Circuit Courty Clerk Dorothy Brown put "Elect Dorothy Brown" on his campaign door

CHICAGO“I have come to the conclusion that Dorothy Brown is my candidate for president of the Cook County Board. The people are with Clerk Brown. I am with Clerk Brown,” said U.S. Representative Danny K. Davis during today’s press conference where he officially endorsed Dorothy Brown for President of the Cook County Board of Commissioners.

“Dorothy Brown was and is the people’s choice. I support her one-hundred and ninety-nine percent,” said Rep. Davis who was flanked by his cheering supporters who held “Elect Dorothy Brown” signs and buttons.

“I am absolutely humbled by this endorsement today by my long-time friend and colleague Congressman Danny K. Davis. He is a man of honesty, integrity and class and I congratulate him on the great job he is doing serving the people of Illinois and our nation,” said Clerk Brown.

“This endorsement by Congressman Davis means a lot to me, my campaign and most importantly, the people I seek to serve here in Cook County,” added Clerk Brown. “I look forward to these kinds of partnerships throughout Cook County where we bring ideas, energy and resources together for the benefit of the County.

To the more than 5 million residents of Cook County who live anywhere in Cook County, I want you to know that in order for me to provide the leadership that Cook County deserves, I need your help. Together, let’s bring reform, innovation and taxpayer savings to Cook County.

*Dorothy Brown has served as Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County for nine years.  She is a CPA, has an MBA, holds a law degree, and has the executive management experience and financial background to set Cook County’s financial house in order.
